Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise extoll and honor the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and His ways justice. And those who walk in pride, He is able to put down. Daniel 4:37 NKJV
The history of king Nebuchadnezzar as recorded in the book of Daniel draws a striking contrast to the leadership of many countries. Sadly, the comparison stands true for some of the leader(s) of America’s administrations (past and present.)
Worshippers, those who believe in the One True and Living God, take heart. Proverbs state that the heart of the king [the leaders of countries, cities, communities, and churches] is in the hands of the Lord!
People are concerned. We have a right to be. The events of the last two weeks remind us of the time in antiquity when Nebuchadnezzar, a worshipper of many gods, an egomaniacal demagogue created a statue in his image, passed a law that people worship the statue!
Went along with his law knowing that his words would cause the demise of the three Hebrew boys. However, we must remain steadfast and unmovable. IN THE END WE WIN!
Shadrach, Meshach, Abed-Nego, Daniel, and the nation survived and thrived despite the efforts of a demonic system.
God dealt severely with Nebuchadnezzar. A prophetic dream came to pass. Nebuchadnezzar was forced to face his folly. He had to face the facts.
He was not a god.
The true and living God oversaw the affairs of this world.
Man is no match for the Sovereign God!
Take heart Saints, the Lord our God the Almighty reigns. He was able to subdue Nebuchadnezzar. He ais able to get the attention and the cooperation of today’s wayward leaders. Pray without ceasing, for this is the perfect will of God in Christ Jesus concerning us!
