A Prayer for Unity “Take heart, I have overcome the world.” Immediately after Jesus spoke those words, He prayed for the future Church to “be united,” just as He and the Father were, that way the world would know Him. What is unity? Unity means to be joined in purpose and passion, and involves exchanging our will for Christ’s will. Even though unity is difficult, Jesus seemed to believe it was necessary if the world was going to know Him. When we cultivate unity in the body of Christ, we acknowledge that Jesus is in control and that His grace is sufficient to cover our differences. Today, let’s seek God’s heart and ask Him to draw His Church together as one, so that the world will believe in the One that God sent to unite us. ________________________________________ Jesus, Thank You for overcoming the world. Because of that, we can experience unity with You. And because we can be unified with You, we can experience unity with each other. It’s by You all things are held together. As we seek to center our lives around You, help us to see all the ways You are at work in the world. Draw us closer to Your heart so that we begin to see each other the way You see us. Would that encourage us to look out not only for our own interests, but also for the interests of others. We want Your kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven, so unite us in purpose so that nothing keeps people searching for You from believing in You. May we experience such perfect unity that the world will know that You sent us and that You love them unconditionally. Come, Lord Jesus, and do in our lives what only You can do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Prayer for Our Leaders Dear God, All authority is Yours, but You have given authority to leaders to protect and guide us. Today, we ask that You would give all our leaders wisdom, discernment, strength, and resolve. Keep them healthy, safe, and rested so that they can continue to guide us through this troubling time. Give our government leaders wisdom about what needs to be done to stop the virus and stabilize our economy. Give our spiritual leaders Your discernment on how to meet people’s needs as they continue to glorify Your name and encourage the Church. Give our medical leaders insight into how to stop the virus. Strengthen their resolve and honor their hard work in creating a treatment for COVID-19. Give our civic leaders inspiration, courage, joy, and strength to meet the needs of their communities. And help us, as leaders in our communities, to display courage, hope, generosity, and kindness. Would the way we honor others inspire those around us. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer for the Global Church Dear God, Thank You that we get to be a part of Your global Church at this moment. Thank You for the opportunity to spread Your love and hope to a world living in darkness and despair. Your Word says that if Your people humble themselves, turn away from wickedness, and call on Your name, that You will answer them and heal their land. So we, Your people, are asking Your forgiveness for the times we’ve chosen not to love the people You put in front of us. Allow this season to strengthen Your Church and to remind us of how much You love this hurting world. Please heal our land and use us to meet the needs of others. Grow our faith as You grow Your global Church. Come, Lord Jesus, and do what only You can do. Amen

Please consider the following for specific prayer requests: 1. Heal the World (Pandemic) 2. Stop the virus (peace be still) 3. Protect all essential employees 4. Discover, develop and market a safe vaccine/treatment (ASAP) 5. Restore the global and national economies 6. Strengthen our immune systems 7. Sustain families (financially, emotionally) 8. *Send a lasting revival 9. *Save Souls This is a suggested list. Pray without ceasing. Prayers should be taking place around the clock. Since principalities are organized and strategic, the body of Christ should be as regimented....more so. All things with prayer and supplication make your requests known to God... Feel free to share this with your friends, families, etc
