He who dwells in the secret place of the Most- High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty
The first sermon that I delivered upon assuming the Pastorate at Union Chapel was titled: “It’s praying time”. Twenty-four years later, those words ring true. IT’S PRAYING TIME!
The prophetic word is as relevant today as it was at the dawn of a new millennium; perhaps more so! As if the outcome of the elections were not disturbing enough, many of us were greeted with the news if not directly impacted by the racially charged text messages that have reached men, women and children of color in several states including New Jersey.
Now is not the time to become consumed with fear, or anger. This is not the time to consider acts of retribution. It is not the time to forsake the assembly of believers.
Now is the time to look to the hills from where our help comes. Our help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 121:1,2)
Now is the time to trust in the Lord with all our hearts. (Proverbs 3:5).
Now is the time to pray without ceasing. (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
If ever there was a time for God’s people to abide in the shelter of the Almighty, that time is NOW! (Psalm 91: 1)
Be not dismayed, whatever betides, God will take care of His people, God will take care of you!
BE ENCOURAGED. IT’S PRAYING TIME! HOLD TO GOD’S UNCHANGING HAND!
