Jesus spoke to His people during what appeared to be a time of certain defeat, when a sense of foreboding weighed heavily on the minds of the followers of the Messiah, “Let not your hearts be troubled, believe in God…” John 14: 1a.
As I am watching the results of the election for President of the United States, I am struggling with a number of stark realities. There is a clear picture that has developed. The American people have spoken. The choice has been made.
The message is clear. What the majority of Americans feel about leadership, integrity, minorities, the middleclass, and the all-mighty dollar is sobering. However, regardless of your political positions, we must take comfort in this unchanging truth;
God is our refuge and strength. Psalm 46:1
The winner of the election does not hold our future! The next President cannot upend the plan of
God (Jeremiah 29:11)
If your choice for the highest office in the land is victorious, be reminded that the Lord our God
the Almighty reigns! In the event that you are disappointed, and in fear. “Let not your hearts be
troubled.”
Keep these truths in the forefront of your hearts. Comfort one another with these words. “The king’s heart is like channels of water in the hands of the Lord. He turns it whichever way He wishes”. Proverb 21:1 Amplified
Some trust in horses, some in chariots, but we will remember the Name of the Lord.
Psalm 20:7 KJV
Beloved, remember who you are, and Whose you are! Be not dismayed, whatever betides, God will take care of you!
It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes. Psalm 118: 8, 9 NKJV
Keep praying! Keep believing! Keep trusting! Be encouraged! For the Saints of the One True and Living God, THE victory has already been determined.
