From the Pastor’s desk
October 15, 2020
We are entering the fall of 2020 fraught with uncertainty and trepidation.
One thing is certain. The Lord promised to never leave nor forsake His people (Deuteronomy 31: 6).
We must take comfort in His words.
Nevertheless, we have to assume some responsibility for the safety, well being and a wholesome future for our families, our communities and our world.
To that end, I am asking each of you to continue to do everything in your power to help stop the spread of COVID19. We are entering the much anticipated second wave. I anticipate a return to some shut downs.
Sadly, there will be additional casualties. We can help keep the number of losses at bay. HOW?
Wear your masks. Particularly in public. Practice social distancing. Avoid large gatherings. Keep your hands germ free, as well as your work and home environments.
It will be especially challenging to adhere to social distance measures, particularly as the holidays approach us. We look forward to family and friends gathering and celebrating; worshipping. However, it is most critical that we all sacrifice together during this most difficult season in order to ensure our wellbeing for the future.
Stay focused on the big picture. Saving lives! Trust God. Meditate on His promises. See Psalm 46: 1 – 7, Psalm 91, Isaiah 26: 3 – 4, 2 Timothy 1: 7
Stay connected to your families, friends and church family as much as possible through the various social media and other available platforms that technology has afforded us.
Our family is keeping you in prayer. Remember we remain vigilant on your behalf.
The Lord said: “Let’s go to the other side”. I believe that to be a word for us. We will get through this present darkness. God said it. I believe it. That settles it.
Be encouraged.
