Samuel
M. Wright Jr. is the eldest of five children. He was raised in

Wright received the call to pulpit ministry at an early age.
Upon completing high school, Pastor Wright began his post secondary

Wright was ordained as a deacon in 1980 and was licensed to preach the gospel in
1991. In 1995, he was ordained and served as the Associate Pastor at the Antioch
Baptist Church in Springfield, N.J. under Pastor Clarence Alston, Sr.
Pastor
Wright has been serving as Pastor of Union Chapel since the year 2000. During
this time span he has helped to establish the following ministries:

Pastor
Wright is an astute bible instructor, praise leader and a powerful preacher. He
also serves the community as a conference and motivational speaker. Pastor
Wright is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and the
author of his first literary work entitled, “Shoes for the Shoemaker”.
Married
to his ministry partner, First Lady Patricia, together they are the proud parents
Toni, Phillip, Stephen, Jennifer, Jessica and two granddaughters.
Pastor
Wright and Sister Patricia share a desire to see that souls are saved and lives
are enriched through the transforming power of the Word. Pastor Wright is
passionate about the need for the church, to be the church, as God has called it
to be; according to Mathew 28:19-20 and Acts 1:8.
He firmly believes and relies on Zechariah 4:6b, "not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord of Host." Sister Patricia often gives and receives encouragement from Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not evil, to give you an expected end.
Together,
they rely on the promised plans of God.
